The Office to Advance Women Apprentices NL Supporting Women in Skilled Trades Scholarships are back!
We are happy to announce that we will be offering four $3000 scholarships to help reduce barriers to women/gender diverse individuals planning to pursue careers in skilled trades (see application for eligibility criteria)! Through these scholarships, we are helping to build a more inclusive and skilled workforce in Newfoundland and Labrador’s skilled trades.
Deadline to apply is June 2, 2025. Successful applicants will be notified in August 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must identify as a woman or gender diverse individual
- You must be pursuing a pre-employment apprenticeship program in Newfoundland and Labrador in which women/gender diverse individuals are underrepresented
- You must demonstrate a strong commitment to your chosen field You must not have received this scholarship in previous years
- Successful applicants will be required to submit proof of enrolment in their trade program prior to funds being disbursed
