Position and Responsibilities
As the instrumentation technologist at Rabbit Lake, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all measurement and control systems. You will also be responsible for a number of different computing systems that are critical to mill operations. You will ensure regular preventative maintenance checks are completed on environmental alarms and equipment and monitor safety and environmental concerns located across the site. Calibration of sensors at the mine site including flowmeters, pH transmitters, density gauges, pressure transmitters, level transmitters and online analyzers will be required.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Interprovincial red seal or Saskatchewan journeyperson industrial instrument certificate
Minimum three to five years of directly related work experience in an industrial or mine environment
Ability to work in a team environment
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
Experience with FOXBORO DCS’and/or Modicon PLC systems
Experience using SAP
Experience with various instrumentation programming and configuration software
Preference will be given to qualified internal applicants and Residents of Saskatchewan’s North.

The Rabbit Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
