Position and Responsibilities
As a member of the maintenance planning team, you will ensure maintenance activities are efficiently scheduled to deliver optimum equipment availability and workforce utilization to help the operation reach reliability excellence. You have a strong working knowledge of maintenance planning best practices and of the maintenance work requirements of a mining or milling facility. Focusing on a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and digital transformation, you will consistently create work plans that improve efficiencies of job execution and equipment reliability. In addition, you will assist with interpreting key performance indicators and contributing to reports to identify opportunities for improvement within the maintenance process.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Heavy Duty Equipment journeyperson trade certificate or mechanical technologist diploma or equivalent
A minimum of five years of related work experience in a mine or industrial setting
Previous planning, coordinating and/or scheduling experience, previous lead hand/supervisory experience
Strategic approach to team building and development
Advanced working knowledge of computer maintenance management systems such as SAP and mobile technology
Demonstrate a strong commitment to data driven decision making and continuous improvement
Effective verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills, working with various levels in the organization
Strong commitment to safety and ensuring safe work practices are incorporated into all work plans
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
A maintenance certification such as Maintenance Management professional (MMP) or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (CMRP)
Operational Reliability and/or Six Sigma training
Project management skills
Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan’s North (RSN).

Cameco’s McArthur River operation operates on a rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
