Position and Responsibilities

 

We are looking for a motivated individual to join the maintenance team at the world’s second largest high grade uranium deposit, located at the Cigar Lake operation in northern Saskatchewan.

 

You will report to the maintenance supervisor and work primarily underground, but some surface work may be required. You will work as part of a team, but also individually, and be responsible for servicing heavy equipment as specified by preventative maintenance work orders. You should be able to perform preventative maintenance inspections, lubrications, as well as be able to troubleshoot equipment failures, complete overhauls and conduct repair work as required.

 

Education and Qualifications

 

Requirements of the position:

Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson heavy duty equipment mechanic certificate
Five years related underground experience with mine development mobile heavy equipment maintenance
Ability to utilize OEM diagnostic software
Team player with good communication skills
Excellent safety record
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Assets:

Familiarity with computerized maintenance tracking using SAP
Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan’s North.

Safety Sensitive Site

 

The Cigar Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
