Position and Responsibilities
Cameco is looking for motivated and ambitious individuals to join our process operations team, on a temporary basis, at the world’s second largest high-grade uranium deposit, located at the Cigar Lake operation in northern Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the process supervisor, your role will focus on ensuring the safe, effective and efficient operation of the process areas. You will be responsible for operating circuits as per outlined procedures and guidelines. You will be responsible for identifying, documenting and reporting any maintenance concerns in order to support continual improvement throughout the operation. In addition, you will assist senior operators as required.
The term for this positions will be six months.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Two to three years of mill operation work experience and industrial water treatment experience, preference given to those with uranium mill experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Strong team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
Will be required to work both on surface and underground
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
Potable water treatment experience
Level 1 and 2 water treatment and Level 1 waste water treatment certification
